Virtual Therapy for Asian Americans | High-Achieving Women in their 20s & 30s in NYC & across New York State
You’ve done everything “right.” Now it’s time to live by your own values.
High-achieving but burned out. Always available but rarely seen.
As an Asian American woman, you juggle roles, obligations, and cultural expectations. And, you wonder when it’s your turn to just be you. This is why specialized therapy for Asian Americans can offer a culturally attuned space where your unique experience is named and respected.
You’re in the right place if…
You can’t seem to rest, even if you try.
Saying no fills you with guilt.
You’re pulled between your own dreams and what your family wants.
These are signs you’re carrying more than you should. And they can hurt your health, relationships, and sense of self.
Culturally attuned therapy for Asian Americans that names what you carry
Work pressure, family expectations, and unspoken cultural rules can keep you on high alert. Here, we quiet the noise and make room for what matters.
Together, we’ll…
Turn down the volume on your inner critic so you can hear what really matters.
Build flexible boundary skills that protect your time and energy (without the guilt trip).
Replace burnout habits with routines anchored in your own values.
Therapy for Asian Americans offers cultural insight and practical, research-informed tools so you can step off the performance treadmill and live by your values with less anxiety and more ease. I work from an Asian American-affirming, culturally attuned lens and use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), adapted to your life and values.
You’re not broken. You’re carrying a lot. In this space, we’ll name what’s heavy and practice skills that fit your life so you feel more like you.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you’re considering therapy for Asian Americans but still have questions, you’re not alone. My clients are thoughtful, high-achieving individuals who like to understand what they’re signing up for before they commit. Here are some of the most common questions about who I work with and what we focus on.
-
High-achieving Asian American women in their 20s and 30s
Individuals who work in demanding fields like law, tech, finance, and medicine
Recreational and ambitious runners
Patterns around perfectionism, people-pleasing, guilt around rest, and burnout
-
I work with anxiety, chronic work stress, burnout, perfectionism, overthinking, and that constant feeling of “I should be doing more.” Many of my clients struggle with saying no, setting boundaries, or resting without feeling guilty. We also often explore cultural and family dynamics (e.g., pressure to succeed or the sense that you “owe” your parents for their sacrifices), as well as issues like social anxiety, imposter syndrome, and performance pressure in work, school, or sports.
-
Many of my clients travel regularly for work, so this is a common concern. Online therapy can still be a good fit with a travel schedule, as long as a few basics are in place:
Privacy and safety: You’ll need a private space and a stable internet connection, such as in a closed office, hotel room, or your home. On the other hand, therapy would not be appropriate while driving or in a public, non-private area.
Consistent timing: Therapy works best when we protect a regular weekly time. When travel plans come up (frequently), we’ll look at whether your standing time still works. If not, we’ll see whether another opening within my regular hours is available that week, if I have space.
Cancellations and licensing: I use a clear cancellation policy so I can reserve your spot and manage my caseload responsibly. There are also some limits related to where you can be located during sessions because of licensing rules. If you travel often or for longer stretches, we’ll talk through how these guidelines apply to your specific situation before we start.
We’ll review your typical work and travel pattern during the consultation so you can get a realistic sense of how weekly therapy might fit into your current season of life.
With specialized therapy for Asian Americans, you’ll always feel seen for who you are and where you come from.
